Ginger can actually prove to be the answer to your dandruff problems. This is because ginger has natural antiseptic properties that make it an ideal fit for taking down dandruff.
You can make your own anti-dandruff mix at home with the help of ginger. All you need to do is mix 2 tablespoons of freshly grated ginger with 3 tablespoons of sesame or olive oil and a dash of lemon juice. Massage this mix into the scalp then leave it on for 15-30 minutes before rinsing. You must use your anti-dandruff mix at least three times a week until you're actually able to get rid of dandruff.
How to use ginger for dandruff?
1. Ginger, sesame oil and lemon
In a clean bowl mix 2 tsps of ginger juice, 3 tsps of sesame oil and a dash of fresh lemon juice.
Apply the mixture on your scalp and massage well.
Leave for 15 to 20 minutes and rinse your hair.
This anti-dandruff mix can be used thrice a week until dandruff is removed.
2. Herbal Warm Oil Therapy
Mix fresh ginger juice with 1 tsp of warm coconut oil and 1 tsp of olive oil.
Massage scalp and hair with the oil and leave for at least 30 minutes.
Wash hair with a mild shampoo.
Follow this warm oil therapy twice a week to get rid of dandruff.
3. Ginger And Lemon Juice
In a clean bowl mix ginger juice and lemon juice in equal quantities.
Using fingers apply the juices evenly on scalp, hair and massage well.
Leave for 15 to 25 minutes and rinse hair with clean water to clear dandruff.
4. Ginger And Tea Decoction
Add 2 tsps of tea powder and 1tsp of grated ginger to a cup of water and boil to make a decoction.
Strain the decoction through a strainer in a clean bowl.
While the decoction is luke warm but not very hot, apply it on scalp and hair.
Message well for 10 minutes and let the mixture rest for at least 20 minutes before rinsing your hair.
5. Ginger And Aloe Vera
Mix 2 tsps of aloe vera gel with 1 tsp of ginger juice.
Using your fingers apply the mixture on hair and scalp massaging for few minutes.
Leave the mixture for 30 minutes to work on scalp and hair.
Rinse hair with cool water.
Note: Aloe vera removes dandruff besides promoting shiny and healthy hair.
6. Ginger And Fenugreek Pack
Mix ½ cup of fenugreek powder with 1 tsp of ginger juice.
Add rose water to make a thick paste.
Apply the mixture as a pack on scalp and hair.
Leave the pack for 30 minutes and rinse hair well.
Note: Fenugreek powder cleans and soothes itching scalp.
7. Ginger, Lemon And Beetroot
In a clean bowl mix ginger, lemon and beetroot juice in equal quantities.
Apply the juices on scalp and let it sit for 30 minutes.
Rinse hair with clean water. Follow the method twice a week to get rid of dandruff.
Note: The above mixture kills fungus on scalp, cleanse hair and scalp.
